The Florida Ballet, Brooklyn Arts and Design Center and the Florida Theatre hosted a Progressive Lunch with the Arts Wednesday. Guests enjoyed drinks and snacks while they watched Florida Ballet summer workshop students rehearse. During lunch, guests were able to review the work of featured artist Quan Minh Duong, and later crossed the street to enjoy dessert at the Florida Theatre. “We wanted people to see what is going on in the arts on this side of Forsyth [Street],” said Laurie Byrd, artistic director of The Florida Ballet, adding about 50 dancers attend the summer workshop. “They learn things they normally wouldn’t during the school year.”
