The Jacksonville Bar Association held its annual meeting at the Deerwood Country Club last week with a full day of activities that included a golf tournament, a tennis tournament, the final balloting for officers and a dinner.
Over 125 participated in the golf event and 16 turned out for tennis. The banquet drew over 200.
Bill Joel will be the new president and Jim Moseley Jr. will be president-elect, and they’ll be installed at the June 11 meeting. Elected to board vacancies were Mike Freed, Reginald Luster, Alan Pickert, Robert Devine and Caroline Emery.
