“Trains,” a model train exhibition complete with holiday lights and decorations, is on display at the Museum of Science and History until Jan. 12. Three different sizes of model trains are featured in the exhibition. New this year is a push button system where viewers can start the operation of the trains. “This allows more interaction with the children,” said Jim Davis, vice president of the Jacksonville Area Model Railroad Society, who set up the display. “It took us a week to set it up this year, last year it took longer.” There are a few changes this year, including updating the circus and adding a monorail. In addition to the “Trains” display, MOSH employees keep busy by entertaining public school classes and manning other exhibits such as the MOSH Explorer.
