The Cummer Museum of Art & Gardens held its annual Beaujolais Nouveau event last week on the front lawn of the museum. The party marks the arrival of the latest vintage of French red wine. In the past, the wine has arrived by oriental rickshaw or party boat. This year, Santa Claus rappelled down the front wall of the museum with his bag full of aged-grape goodies. Wine tasting immediately followed. Before the Beaujolais arrived, a seminar on premier wines was presented by sommelier and chef Robbert Bouman.
