WorkSource, the regional workforce development organization, has relocated its St. Johns County Career Center to 525 State Road 16.
WorkSource closed the former location in June, and has been providing services from a temporary location on Riberia Street while the buildout on SR 16 was completed.
The new Center will provide services to job seekers, including job leads, information on filing unemployment claims, access to labor market and salary information, assessments and a computer resource room for updating resumes and conducting internet research.
The new Center phone number is 819-0231.
With this new center, WorkSource creates a more accessible presence in St. Johns County, greatly enhancing its capacity to serve the local community. The new location is close to Interstate 95 and First Coast Technical Institute, a local training partner.
WorkSource also provides services for business, which will be able to post openings, access labor market information and arrange on-site recruiting events at the new location. Last year, over 20,000 job postings from employers were received throughout the six-county region WorkSource serves.
“We are pleased to be able to offer a great location to the workforce in St. Johns County”, said Lynn Grafel, CEO of WorkSource. “Our new facility provides more space and enhanced resources to our customers. We anticipate a lot of traffic through the center.”
