The first annual Jacksonville Film Festival is scheduled for May 15-18 at three venues: Theatre Jacksonville, Jacksonville Museum of Modern Art and the Cummer Museum of Art & Gardens. Over 30 independent, full-length films will be shown, according to organizers, who announced their plans Monday afternoon from the Florida Theatre stage. There will also be insider panels and seminars, short films, a crash course in screenwriting, question and answer sessions with filmmakers, cult films, celebrity appearances and five parties. Tickets are available only at the Florida Theatre.
