The Jacksonville Museum of Modern Art hosted a reception Thursday night for its two new exhibitions.

In the Regional Gallery on the third floor, work by Charleston-based artist Joe Walters is displayed. The exhibition, High Tide: Drawings and Sculptures, features Walter’s unique landscapes and naturalistic sculptural forms.

New work by local artist Jonathan Lux is displayed in the fifth floor Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Florida Education Gallery. A downtown resident, many of Lux’s paintings depict the area’s landmarks.

Guests enjoyed hors d’oeuvres prepared by the museum’s Cafe Nola, a cash bar and the music of Atlanta-based singer and guitarist Lauren Fincham.
