Johnnie Byrd, speaker of the Florida House of Representatives, attended a meet-and-greet Monday evening hosted by Fiorentino & Associates, a government and business consulting firm, in its Bank of America tower offices. Byrd, who is expected to launch a U.S. Senate campaign next year, was hoping to become more familiar with local leaders during his visit. “He gave us a call and asked us to show him Jacksonville,” said Shannon Hewett of Fiorentino & Associates. “We were happy to do it.”
