Signs of progress

Making use of the construction staging area across from the site of the new Main Library, workers have stacked rows of concrete forms that will be used to support the foundation of the first floor of the building once concrete has been poured. “There definitely a sign of progress,” said Rex Holmlin, Better Jacksonville Plan library project manager. “Hopefully there won’t be any stacked across the street for too much longer.” A second tower crane is expected to be added to the site at the end of the month.
