Members of the Guardian ad Litem program and other area child protection agencies met Thursday at St. Vincent’s for a day of training on child abuse investigations and child protection. The mini-conference featured speakers from the Child Protection Team, a statewide organization dedicated to preventing child abuse, and addressed topics, including physical and sexual abuse, Shaken Baby Syndrome and forensic evidence gathering.
