Toy parade

On the first floor of the Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department on Julia Street are donated gifts that will be given to nearly 300 needy children. They are presents collected through JaxCares, a decades-old program for Jacksonville City employees and volunteers to give needy children a merry Christmas. This year’s drive supported the Salvation Army’s “angel tree” children and was coordinated by City officials Cindy Davis and Darlene Larson 300. The gifts were picked up Thursday for delivery.
