Prudential Network Realty has stepped out and created its own mortgage company, Gibraltar Mortgage.

“Gibraltar Mortgage was established to serve real estate agents, builders and their customers from all over Jacksonville, not exclusive to Prudential Network Realty,” said Carol Hill, senior vice president of Real Estate Operations. “We like to think of Gibraltar Mortgage as a company with big city sophistication and small town personality, offering a wide variety of mortgage options with a personal commitment to unparalleled customer service. We needed a team like Gibraltar Mortgage to enable us to offer our clients a full-service home buying experience, including unparalleled customer service and competitive mortgage options.”

The company was formed November Land is at 4190 Belfort Rd., Suite 315 in the Enterprise Park building.

At the moment, the 3,000 square foot, 10-employee office is their only one.

Laura Smith, formerly of Countrywide Home Loans and a consistent top producer, will be the manager of operations. Mark Sherman and Frank Graham will be the managers of business development.

With all of the other mortgage companies in Jacksonville, how will they compete?

“The experience and successful track records of the executives and staff of Gibraltar Mortgage, along with a variety of mortgage products and services will enable us to compete with both local and national mortgage companies located in Jacksonville,” said Hill.

Typically, a real estate company doesn’t know all of the ins and outs of a mortgage company and how it is run. Therefore, Hill said a lot of research was conducted in conjunction with the help of outside consultants in developing the company, establishing licensing, operations procedures, etc.

“Gibraltar Mortgage will enable us to offer our clients a full-service home buying experience, including unparalleled customer service and competitive mortgage options,” she said.
