The United States Army Corps of Engineers hosted an open house last week for its new offices in the Prudential Building. The Corps now occupies the third, fourth and fifth floors in the east and west towers of the Southbank building and the sixth floor in the west tower. The move was prompted by renovations to the Charles Bennett Federal Building. The Prudential space has a dining area, sundry shop, on-site security and plenty of parking. The lease term is 10 years. “This completes our goal of providing every employee with a quality workspace,” said Col. Greg May, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers district engineer for the Jacksonville district. “Seven hundred sixty-four team members moved across the St. Johns River. In May, we will move 60 [the remaining staff] of our real estate team from the BellSouth tower.”
