• The Jacksonville Public Library system is hosting a two-hour, two-part workshop for engaged couples. Called “Before You Tie the Knot,” the premarital preparation course is being offered by the Duval County Cooperative Extension Service Feb. 24 and 26 at the library’s Neptune Beach branch from 6:30-8:30 p.m. The cost is $5 per couple and completion will result in a $32.50 reduction in the cost of a marriage license. Both must attend each night.
• The Convention and Visitors Bureau is hosting a Guest Service Association event Thursday from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at the Florida Theatre. Representatives from the Super Bowl Host Committee, FCCJ Artist Series, Ritz and Florida theaters and the Jacksonville Symphony Orchestra will be on hand to discuss upcoming events and performances.
