• Mayor John Delaney will present the Better Jacksonville Plan quarterly report Tuesday at 6 p.m. in the mayor’s conference room on the fourth floor of City Hall.

• The Disability Subcommittee of the Duval County Election Advisory Panel is scheduled to meet Tuesday at 1 p.m. at City Hall. Attorney Richard LaBelle is the speaker.

• Patricia Bryant has been named marketing coordinator for Firehouse Subs. She is responsible for promotions, production and management and event planning. She will also establish a marketing resource center.

• Mayor John Delaney has appointed Philip Bruce chief of the Planning, Research and Grants Division of the Department of Parks, Recreation and Entertainment. The appointment requires City Council approval.

• Karen Darnell has been named executive director of the Heart and Vascular Center for St. Vincent’s Medical Center. Previously, she was cardiovascular service line director, where she served since 2000.

• The Ritz Theatre and LaVilla Museum will host “A Slave Ship Speaks: The Wreck of the Henrietta Lee,” beginning Jan. 26. The traveling exhibit features artifacts collected from the wreck site, which sank off the Florida coast in 1700.
