David M. Gooding was sworn in as the newest Circuit Court judge for the 4th Judicial Circuit Thursday night at an investiture ceremony in the Duval County Courthouse. A graduate of the University of Miami, Gooding worked in management at Winn-Dixie for several years prior to pursuing his legal career. He was employed under former State Attorney Ed Austin before entering private practice. Gooding’s father, now deceased, also served on the bench. “There’s no doubt you will fill your shoes, not your dad’s, with distinction,” Judge A.C. Soud told Gooding.
