Marilyn McDaniel is an agent with Select Realty and is currently acting as a site agent for the new condominium community at the beach, Jardin de Mer.
HOW LONG WITH
SELECT REALTY?
About two years.
WHAT DOES SHE DO?
She gives prospective buyers a presentation on the community when they come in looking for information. She also answer questions on the phone, mails information to prospective buyers and of course writes contracts.
JARDIN DE MER?
“I think we are definitely improving the neighborhood. We have had a very positive response from the visitors to our office. We are real excited about it, especially with the success of our sales considering we have not done any advertising until recently. It has all been word of mouth up until now.”
HOW DOES SHE LIKE
SITE SALES?
“It’s different. What I like about it is that the customers come to you instead of you being all over town. Especially with the price of gas right now. It is a pleasant change from what I have been used to.”
WHAT ELSE DOES
SHE DO?
The developer of Jardin de Mer, John Sisk, also owns Windsor Pointe, a condominium community off Hodges Boulevard, so she also works out there some of the time. “We are selling the final units out there.” She also does some general real estate through Select Realty.
WHAT DO YOU HOPE TO ACCOMPLISH?
“We hope that phase one will be sold out in the next few months. We are very active in the Realtor community, so we attend sales meetings and hand out information about the development.”
BEFORE SELECT?
The major part of her real estate career was with Pam Bingemann Realty and then Arvida.
HOW DID SHE GET
INTO REAL ESTATE?
When her oldest daughter started college, she decided to rejoin the workforce. “I thought it would be a fun thing to pursue and I have enjoyed the many years and relationships I have developed with different people.” Real estate was more flexible and allowed her the freedom to still be available to her other daughter still at home.
