Choice Process, a Tampa-based legal service company, has moved to a new office downtown. The 20-year old company has been in Jacksonville for the past seven years and moved into new space in the Schultz building at 118 W. Adams St. in early May.

“We provide attorney support and the service of process,” said Kristie Williford, an account specialist who runs the local office. “We serve subpoenas, evictions, divorce papers, summons, termination of parental rights papers, any legal document.”

The company provides hand delivery, courtesy court filing and a pick-up service to law firms and pro se clients.

Choice Process also provides skip traces and can locate hard-to-find individuals to whom papers need to be served.

With offices in Tampa, Miami and Orlando, the company covers Florida and provides service nationwide and internationally.

And from their downtown office “we cover all of Jacksonville and the surrounding counties,” said Williford. “Being downtown is great because we’re close to a lot of our clients and it makes our daily runs to the courthouse very convenient.”

The company also hopes to increase its presence in Jacksonville.

“Jacksonville is a great city with a lot of great business,” said Alexa Jessee, the company’s part-owner and in-house counsel. “We’re looking to expand and grow our business there.”

Williford is working on new marketing strategies for the company and said word-of-mouth remains one of the best forms of advertising.

“Providing good work to someone and getting a recommendation from them is still one of the best ways to spread the word about our business,” she said.
