Dignity U Wear, a local charity currently serving as the nation’s only distributor of new clothing to those in need, celebrated the dedication and grand opening of its new offices and distribution center in LaVilla Tuesday night. Henri Landwirth, Holocaust survivor, philanthropist and Dignity U Wear founder, dedicated the warehouse and offices in the name of Carlton H. Spence, founder of ICS Logistics, Inc. Spence was instrumental in assisting Dignity U Wear expand when he negotiated the sale of the former cold storage warehouse to the charity. “We have found an angel in Carlton Spence,” said Landwirth. “Carlton single-handedly helped Dignity U Wear serve thousands more across our nation when he sold us our new building. He is truly a man that should be honored in our community.”
