The Skyway Progressive Party is scheduled for Saturday night and organizers and sponsors met Tuesday at the Kings Avenue Station to discuss last-minute details. The party, hosted by the Downtown Council of the Chamber of Commerce and the Jacksonville Transportation Authority, features six Skyway stops, all with their own food and entertainment. Local businesses, including Morton’s of Chicago, La Cena, Juliette’s, Golden Oldies, Rollin’ Rita’s, Continental Asset Management and the local salsa company, Fresh Eddy’s will provide a taste of their offerings. Most stations will feature entertainment with improvjacksonville, the Meridian Celtic band and the River City Band expected to perform. Party-goers will be able to ride the Skyway from 6 to 9 p.m. After that, the party continues until 11 p.m. on the rooftop of the Suddath building parking garage on the Southbank with music by the Dot Wilder Jazz Quintet and beverages from the Radisson. Tickets are $15.
