KB Home has two major Laurels to add to its home.

The giant homebuilder won the Grand Award and the Golden Service Award, plus the Laurel for Lender of the Year among builders.

Additionally, Daniel Blanchard was named Marketing Director of the Year and Lisa Hand won the Laurel for Top Producer in the Builder/Lender category.

The awards kept coming as the company won for best signage, the best designs for homes under $100,000 and $150,000-249,999 and best interior merchandising for homes under $150,000.

So, who is KB Home?

Relatively new to this market, it is one of the nation’s largest builders.

Based in Los Angeles, KB Home has over 4,000 employees and has operating divisions in Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Nevada, New Mexico, North Carolina and Texas.

Kaufman & Broad S.A., the Company’s majority-owned subsidiary, is one of the largest homebuilders in France.

In fiscal 2002, the Company delivered 25,565 homes in the United States and France. It also operates KB Home Mortgage Company, a full-service mortgage company for the convenience of its buyers. Founded in 1957, KB Home is a Fortune 500 company listed on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker symbol “KBH.”

Since building its first homes in California in 1963, KB Home has specialized in building affordable homes designed for entry-level and first-time trade-up home buyers.

KB Home was the first home builder to be listed on the NYSE as well as the first to offer consumer financing through its KB Home Mortgage Company.

In Jacksonville, the company has a KB Home Studio: a retail-like “store” where home buyers can choose from different style options on items like fireplaces, lighting, and kitchens.
