The Downtown Tunnel connecting the concourse of SunTrust Bank with the basement of Atlantic Place is being converted into an art gallery. Decorative overhead lighting has been installed at the SunTrust end of the tunnel, and work is continuing on replacing floor indicator lights above the elevators. The entire corridor is getting new carpet, better lighting and fresh paint. Work at the Atlantic Place end of the tunnel is still in the initial phases. There’s a set of four poster boards at the SunTrust end of the tunnel, outlining the ongoing work and what the tunnel will look like when the remodeling is complete.
