Skanska USA Building, Inc., the development group charged with modernizing the Charles E. Bennett Federal Building on Bay Street, celebrated a “Wreck Out” ceremony Tuesday, marking the halfway point of the $24 million project. When finished next summer, the 11-story building will be equipped with updated electrical systems and interior finishes. All asbestos materials will also be removed.
