D. R. Horton has opened a design studio at 9456 Philips Highway. It’s about a half-mile north of the Avenues Mall and across from Regal Cinema.

The new design center has almost 3,000 square feet.

“The new design center allows our customers to personalize their homes in ways that were never before possible,” said Vice President of Sales and Marketing Cristy Griffin.

“We encourage customers to come in and browse before their design appointment,” said Director of Design Lisa Belser. “Having the opportunity to preview the selections gives customers a chance to carefully consider all of their options before their design appointment.”

There are three sample kitchens illustrating different levels of upgrades. Timberlake cabinets show the variety of woods available including oak, maple and cherry.

Customers also have the opportunity to see popular upgrade features like crown molding, lazy Susans, appliance garages, drawer stacks wine racks, and pull-out drawers.

The design center is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
