The second annual Cafe for Kids golf tournament is slated for Nov. 10 at 1 p.m. at Palencia. All proceeds from the fundraiser — sponsored by The Neighborhoods of World Golf Village and Palencia — will benefit Community Alliance Funding Education, a private foundation for public education in Northwest St. Johns County.
The inaugural tournament was held at the King & Bear at World Golf Village. Golfers won rounds of golf, Waterford ice buckets, golf bags and tickets to sporting and cultural events.
The field is limited to 144 players for the 2003 tournament and the format is Captain’s Choice. The cost is $150 per person or $500 for a foursome.
Lunch will be provided before the tournament and a reception and awards ceremony with prizes will be held afterward.
