The Salvation Army officially welcomed area commanders James and Karol Seiler to Jacksonville during a ceremony Thursday night at the Cummer Museum of Art & Gardens. The Seilers have been with the non-profit group for nearly 20 years and have been stationed in locations ranging from Baltimore to Dallas. Guests for the evening included City Council member Kevin Hyde, Council president Lad Daniels and Mayor John Peyton, who made a brief address. “We’re expecting wonderful things from the Seilers,” said Tania Yount, area director for The Salvation Army. “They’re amazing people.”
