Fire Chief Richard Barrett, Gordon Bass from the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office, City Council president Lad Daniels, Chief Community Officer Pete Jackson and Mayor John Peyton stretched their acting muscles Thursday morning as part of a segment that will appear in a United Way video. Director and mayor’s office spokesperson Heather Murphy declined comment on who was the best actor, but added the novice performers were “all troopers and took a unique opportunity to shine.”
