U.S. Rep. Ander Crenshaw welcomed NASA’s Starship 2040 exhibit to the Museum of Science and History (MOSH) Tuesday.

The 48-foot trailer is a mock-up of a futuristic spaceliner and is designed to share NASA’s vision of commercial space flights as it might exist in 40 years.

“This is a hands-on tour of the future,” said Crenshaw. “One very important aspect of this exhibit is that it stresses the value of a good education.”

Starship 2040 was created and managed by NASA’s Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, Ala. Visitors can see control, passenger and engineering compartments. All innovations aboard the exhibit are based on concepts and technologies now being studied at NASA and partner institutions around the country.

Today is the final day to view Starship 2040.
