Stretching out the spirit of Easter, the Christian Legal Society will host a panel discussion with three people who have grown spiritually by coping with adversity in their lives.

The “spiritual Growth Through Adversity” luncheon will be held April 16 from 12:15-1:30 p.m. at Sterling’s Downtown at the Seminole Club, 400 Hogan St.

Panelists will include Bonnie Nimmons Gilliland, daughter of the late Federal District Court Judge Ralph Nimmons, who will share family experiences and her own victory over terminal illness; Jeanne Helton, a partner with Smith Hulsey and Busey, who will tell how her faith was strengthened as a result of her encounter with a serious medical condition; and Roger Gannam, an attorney with Smith, Gambrell & Russell, who will discuss how his family has grown spiritually since his 3-year-old son was diagnosed with leukemia nearly one year ago.

The cost is $14.75. To make a reservation, contact Jane Arnold at [email protected] or at 387-5400, extension 34.
