Though visitors won’t be able to use the new $3.5 million Jacksonville Beach Pier this summer, construction is on schedule for a planned September opening. About 700 feet of the 1,300-foot concrete structure is finished. The new pier is located at Fourth Avenue North. When complete, the pier will feature a restaurant, bait shop, restrooms and a T-shaped area at the end for fireworks displays. The pier is just one aspect of a new-look Jacksonville Beach.
