Mayor John Peyton drew about 100 attentive humans and one bored dog Friday as he paid his annual visit to the Chamber’s Downtown Council. Maria is being trained by Ronald McDonald House director Joy Hardaker to serve as a house pet in her facility, which serves parents of ill children. The dog lay quietly on the floor while Peyton spoke at the breakfast at the River City Brewing Company.
