Over 300 attended the opening reception Sunday night that kicked off Gator Bowl Week. It culminates with Saturday’s game at Alltel Stadium with over 70,000 expected to attend.

Players, coaches and administrators from the competing schools, Florida State and West Virginia, gathered at the River City Brewing Company for the welcoming party, which was sponsored by CSX.

The teams will practice all week but other festivities continue starting with a Christian breakfast on Wednesday morning at the Adam’s Mark. There will be the annual Hall of Fame luncheon on Friday at a tent outside the stadium, with the 5K run and the parade that afternoon.
