New security initiatives

Citing increased security initiatives, AmSouth Bank is asking customers to remove sunglasses, hats and motorcycle helmets when entering the bank. Signs have been posted on entrance doors, notifying people of the policy change. “I have watched lots of videotape, and robbers have on hats and sunglasses,” said Marty Lanahan, president of AmSouth in Jacksonville. “Asking people to remove these articles is just another way to deter possible situations.”
