Making good on a long-time dream, Adrianne Garner, Jackie Hogans and Georgina Robinson (not pictured) opened their own restaurant on East Adams Street this week. Jags Cafe is open for breakfast and lunch, serving assorted sandwiches and wings.
“We’re very excited to be doing this,” said Hogans. “We can’t wait to get our name out there and establish a good reputation downtown. It’s going to be fun.”
Garner added the menu and hours may expand as they get a better feel for the area.
“We’ll see,” she said. “We just got started, but we’re hopeful we’ll be able to expand soon.
“Everyone is welcome and it’s like our menu says, ‘we thank you for your business.’ ”
