Renovations to the Lerner Building on West Adams Street are showing signs of progress. The six-story building will eventually house a first floor restaurant, offices and loft apartments.

An all-new seventh floor penthouse is also being planned.

“We have already contacted two firms about property management, but we are also investigating in-house options,” said Douglas Williams, project manager and representative for developer Kimmick Corporation.

Williams said Kimmick may relocate to the building once renovations are complete.

The building’s facade is being restored and there will be electrical, plumbing and elevator upgrades.
