Inductees into the Georgia/Florida Hall of Fame were announced at a press conference Thursday at the Jacksonville Veterans Memorial Arena.

Chosen by a panel of Jacksonville-based media and sports officials, two inductees from each school were named.

They are former University of Florida receivers Wes Chandler and Reidel Anthony, Bulldogs announcer Larry Munson and Erk Russell, former University of Georgia assistant head coach.

Russell was present at the conference.

“I’m honored,” he said. “The Georgia/Florida game is one of the greatest in the world and I always enjoyed traveling to Jacksonville for it.

“It’s a beautiful city, the ride to the stadium was great and, usually, we had some pretty good weather. Thank you.”

A formal induction ceremony is scheduled for Oct. 29.
