The keg taps are ready, the tables in place and by Monday, Mudville Grill in the Schultz Building on West Adams Street should be open.

Co-owner Michael Meehan said the restaurant will start with a soft opening, allowing the staff to become better acclimated to the downtown clientele.

A grand opening will follow a few weeks later.

“We’re almost there,” said Meehan, who has been busy in the restaurant this week overseeing last-minute details. “It’s a lot of hard work but we’re excited about opening downtown.”
