“Phantom The Musical” is halfway through its run at the Alhambra Dinner Theatre. The show, which runs until March 27, is based on the novel, “The Phantom of the Opera.” An almost sell-out crowd filled the theatre for Saturday night’s performance. For those who haven’t seen the show yet, don’t delay. Directed and choreographed by Tod Booth, Cody Gay as the Phantom and Cara Hietman as the Phantom’s protege provide excellent performances. The show is especially crowd pleasing when the actors move through the audience, performing some of the scenes. Costumer Susan Ainley deserves kudos for capturing the period with the wardrobe. For Saturday’s performance, everything was top notch. The only negative of the evening had nothing to do with the show — the buffet ran out of dessert before dinner was over.
