Work is progressing on a 5,000 square-foot office building at the corner of Duval, Liberty and Church streets, thanks to the efforts of Community Connections.
Construction begin in October and the project should be complete by early summer.
“We’re really excited about the project,” said Pat Hannan, executive director for Community Connections.
Developers Rick Haskew and Tom Beeckler from Mastec Builders say the building will look “very similar” to Community Connections building located next door.
“The DDA (Downtown Development Authority) definitely wanted a match,” said Haskew. “To account for that we are using identical bricks and windows and the roof will be lined with 40-year shingles.”
