North Florida Builders, a custom homebuilder in the North Florida market, has been acquired by Woodside Communities of North Florida, a subsidiary of Woodside Group, Inc.

Woodside Homes and its affiliates build homes and provide mortgage services in Arizona, California, Colorado, Minnesota, Nevada, and Utah.

Howard White, founder and CEO of North Florida Builders, and Chip Nelson, President of Woodside Group, Inc., announced the acquisition, which became official March 1. The transaction was an asset purchase in which Woodside Communities purchased the majority of the assets of the existing North Florida Builders company.

The new company will continue to operate with the same management team which is now in place at North Florida Builders, headed by White. Woodside Communities will also continue to use the name of North Florida Builders.

“Both companies are known for building outstanding quality homes of enduring value with integrity and exceptional customer service,” White said. “This is indeed a great opportunity to strengthen our company and grow at a much faster pace.”
