The Jax Federal Credit Union (JAXFCU) donated $13,400 to local charities during a ceremony Wednesday.
The credit union presented checks for $3,350 each to the Children’s Miracle Network of Northeast Florida and Southeast Georgia, Hubbard House, the Multiple Sclerosis Society and the City Rescue Mission.
Although not included in the presentation, $5,000 was donated for the American Cancer Society.
“At JAXFCU, we use the motto ‘With You, For You, About You’ when communicating with our members,” said President/CEO Gerri Sexsion. “The donations made today are representative of the level of commitment we have to our community and its needs. I can say with assurance from all our associates and board of directors that our checks for each organization of $3,350 show JAXFCU is With You, For You, About You.”
Funds raised by JAXFCU are raised by an associate-staffed Pride Committee. The 2003 committee of nine coordinated all fundraising events.
