Though open for nearly five months, Vikki and Terry Williams, owners of the UPS Store on Hogan street, held a ribbon–cutting ceremony Monday.

The husband–and–wife team said business has been good, but hoped an official ribbon cutting would help raise awareness that the store had plenty to offer.

“There still isn’t a Post Office down here,” said Vikki Williams, “and we want people to know that they can get their mail right here.”

Also on hand for the ceremony was Mayor John Peyton, who said he was happy to have the store located so closely to City Hall.

“I’m very bullish about supporting downtown businesses,” said Peyton, “and, besides, there is a UPS Store right by my house and I’m always in there buying something.”
