The Stetson University College of Law will present a seminar this month with topics ranging from brief writing to oral arguments to motion practice.
Described as an “in-depth, practical continuing legal education program,” the Earle Zehmer Appellate Practice Seminar will be held at the Omni on May 21.
Jacksonville previously hosted the one-day event in 1997 and 1998 and, according to organizers, in excess of 200 attorneys should be present this time.
Former Supreme Court Justice Major B. Harding and 10 First District Court of Appeals judges are expected.
Cost of tuition for the seminar is $175 if paid before May 14, $200 after.
