Realty/Builder Connection is the winner of the first-ever Laurel for Best Publication for an Industry Professional.
“When we started this publication,” said Bailey Publishing Company President Jim Bailey, “we decided that we would do everything possible to produce the best product possible for the real estate and construction industries in this area.
“We knew we had the basis - we have the staff which can do it, we have the production facilities and we have the means of getting to the professionals in the industry.”
Realty/Builder Connection is the only free publication mailed to every real estate licensee in the North Florida area. Using the mailing list of licensees from the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation, the newspaper is delivered at no cost.
“Our mission is to provide the best possible local coverage,” said bailey. “This includes coverage of events and news of the companies which are involved in the industry.
“We also see the need to keep agents informed on sales methods, so we include stories written by top national sales people.”
Realty/Builder Connection each month includes a list of Top Producers as well as an events calendar which covers the North Florida area.
The writing and editing is done by Bailey Publishing’s editorial staff, which also produces the Daily Record, Downtown This Week and Golf News. Graphics and layout is done in-house, as is the printing and mailing.
“We’re proud to have a company that can handle everything,” said Bailey. “It gives us the best of all worlds - because we control the entire process, we can deliver the latest news to our readers.”
Bailey said that reader contributions are always welcome.
“Many of our best story ideas come from our readers,” he said. “The continued excellence of Realty/Builder Connection will depend on our ability to ‘connect’ with the reader, to let them know that they can be part of it.
“No publication of any kind in this area runs as many photos of local people as we do, for instance. I’m sure that no area publications includes as many names.
“For instance, no one else ran the entire list of Laurel winners - we had them in our next issue.
