Scott D. Makar of the General Counsel’s Office has been recommended to fill a vacancy on the First District Court of Appeal.
The Judicial Nominating Commission for the First District Court of Appeal sent six names to Gov. Jeb Bush for his consideration in filling the judicial vacancy created by the retirement of Judge Anne Booth. The other nominees are:
• Nikki A. Clark,Tallahassee
• Jacalyn N. Kolk, Panama City
• Charles A. Stampelos, Tallahassee
• Bradford Lee Thomas, Tallahassee
• Richard R. Townsend, Green Cove Springs
The governor now has 60 days to make the appointment. The First DCA Judicial Nominating Commission interviewed 30 applicants before trimming the list to six.
