Putting the fun in the fair

Though the sights and sounds at the Greater Jacksonville Agricultural Fair and Expo Center at the Fairgrounds are big and bright at night, the mood is decidedly more subdued in the light. That’s when the livestock is fed, food is prepared and elementary schools typically take tours. “There’s a lot of work to be done before the fair opens,” said Martha Leverock, fair president. “You won’t find many patrons, but you will see a lot of people.” The fair closes Sunday.
