“Believe it or not, we are opening,” said Robert Humphries, owner and manager of Ieyasu on West Adams Street. “It’s taken a long time, but we did it.”

Starting today, the Japanese-style eatery — downtown’s newest — will be open for lunch and dinner.

Expect several Asian fusion choices on the menu.

“But we’re really going to be pushing dinner,” he said. “That’s the business we’re most excited about.”

Humphries said a grand opening ceremony will be held some time next week.
