Trying to spread the word

City Park and Recreation Department employees were having a tough time hanging promotional banners for the upcoming First Coast Ham Jam. The cables usually used to secure the banners had been removed to prepare for Hurricane Frances. “There’s nowhere to hang it,” said Park and Rec. employee Steve Anderson when he came down, sign in hand, from this Forsyth Street overhead. This year’s Ham Jam has been dubbed “the official barbecue of the First Coast,” for its debut in the Equestrian Center from Sept. 30 through Oct 3.
