There are good jobs and then there are dream jobs. Rick Catlett may have both markets cornered. As president of the Gator Bowl Association for more than a dozen years, Catlett remains at the helm of one of Jacksonville’s most popular annual attractions. “It’s been a lot of fun,” Catlett said of his experiences overseeing the logistics of the college football face off. “To be able to do what we do every year for the community continues to amaze and hold a strong interest for me.” Catlett’s Workspace can be found on the west side of Alltel Stadium downtown, just a few steps away from the main entrance. It’s there that he not only gets a lot of work done, but also where you’ll likely find one of the most valuable and varied collections of sport memorabilia around. “That’s a nice bonus,” he said. “It can be a lot of hard work, but I wouldn’t change a thing if it meant I would have missed out on some of things I’ve been able to do and see.”
