Though it has been open for a couple of weeks now, several dozen guests literally received the red carpet treatment at Wednesday night’s official grand opening of the Copper Cellar, the Landing’s newest restaurant.
Located in the former Southend Brewery space, Copper Cellar guests were pleased to find a totally different experience from the old establishment even though the restaurant is based on a similar brew pub concept.
From the changed menu to the new location of the bar, guests expecting to see a cleaned up version of the old restaurant were visibly shocked to see a more upscale restaurant with all the amenities of a fine dining establishment. Though champagne and wine were the drinks of choice throughout the night, Copper Cellar’s owners made sure they had plenty of the restaurant’s home brew ready for customers to test.
